The work breakdown structure (WBS) as displayed in Figure 1 shows the Spring Semester schedule organized into a multi-level hierarchy. Our project is at the top level. The second level is broken down into our system and preliminary activities. The third level for the system is divided into subsystems, then into further subsystems for the fourth. The third level under the preliminary activities is made up of deliverables. The bottom level for both system and preliminary activities consists of tasks. White blocks indicate items that have zero-percent progress and increasingly darker coloring indicates more progress.

Figure 2 shows a Gantt Chart of our proposed schedule for Spring 2013. All levels but the lowest task levels are shown for the sake of brevity. The “orange” horizontal line in the timeline indicates where the project devilment stands on December 9, 2012. An expanded version of the schedule can be viewed in Project Documents.
