THE CLASS

This courses will include the units of study required by the NC Department of Instruction. Students will do a variety of assignments to help them master the material which includes labs, activities, and projects some of which will be done on the computer. I love technology and will integrate relevant applications and sites when appropriate.   We will rely heavily on the interactive notebook to think about content in different ways.  The goal is for students to own their learning.  

Everything I do, I put on my website with include the accompanying apps. Study materials will always be at your fingertips! Google classroom and  other tools may be used to assess student levels of mastery.

GRADING

• Students must put both their first & last name on assignments to receive credit.

• Many assignments will be turned in electronically.

• Grading procedures will follow the school protocols to show student mastery.

SUBSTANDARD WORK

I do not offer extra credit on an individual basis.  It is preferred that students to do their best on the assigned work so that they don’t have to rely on extraneous assignments to rescue poor grades.  The chosen assignments are the ones I feel will afford the best opportunities for students to master the material.
