Underrepresented Groups in Science

This unit has been used in the past and remains here as a resource for students, teachers and the community. Students are posed with the question: "Why are there so few _______ in physics?" And we take time to explore some possible hypothesis that the students create and look at research that will either support or refute their claim. The following resources are here to explore those possible hypothesis that students have explored. You will also notice student posters that were created on scientists from underrepresented groups.

Students voluntarily have taken this test to discuss implicit bias. This anonymous test is for students 18 older to complete without parent consent - if under 18 years of age, seek parental consent before taking.

Two studies of interest that students have taken are: "Gender - Science" & "Race" to look into possible explanations to their hypothesis.
