Chapter 6 Exponents and Polynomials

Students studied integer exponents and radicals in Grade 8. Now students expand this concept to rational (fractional) exponents and connect rational exponents to radicals. Students will build on this skill later in the course when they study exponential functions. At this level, students are introduced to all types of polynomial expressions, but the focus is on linear and quadratic polynomials.
