I occasionally hear, "We came online so we do not have to deal with homework" or "What? You're saying I need to do homework?"
In an online setting, although students are already in their home environment, students may still have to do 'homework.' The suggested times listed for each subject are only that, a suggestion. It may take a student less or more time to complete that work. If a student is not able to complete the lesson during the suggested time, the student could continue to work on the lesson at that time, take a break and come back to it later during the school day, or work on it in the evening (outside of the 'traditional' school day).
If a student is taking significantly longer to complete lessons, it is important to contact the teacher. The teacher may provide suggestions or support for the student.
