StarFall: This web site is for younger children who are in the early stages of learning to read. It contains drill and practice in an interactive format with sound (songs and videos). Skills range from learning letters and letter sounds up to the child reading on his/her own. This is a great site for students who have not yet mastered reading. The child can click on a word in the story and the program will pronounce the word both phonetically and the way that it should be pronounced when read. The stories and pictures are interactive as well, so it captures the imagination of the user.
