The workshop
The workshop intends to bring together students from different departments and different years in one platform which is unique and multidisciplinary. It is designed to specifically address from basic to some research challenges and opportunities to work in the field of big data and different software technologies in it, especially in multimedia. Workshop will highlight some practical perspective for handling big data in distributed environment with application in multimedia.
Objectives of the workshop

Selection Criteria
· This workshop is designed for mainly graduation and post graduation students in TEQIP-II institutes.
· Interested Candidates from Non-TEQIP institute can also apply.
· Since, the maximum number of participant allowed are limited, the offer will be made on first cum first served basis among the eligible applicants.
· Candidates from departments and institutions other than Information Technology Department of Jadavpur University are required to send/submit a no objection letter from institute head after successful submission of online registration form.

3rd Year Graduation: 30 Seats
4th Year Graduation: 30 Seats
1st Year Post Graduation: 10 Seats
2nd Year Post Graduation: 10 Seats
Course Fee
NO FEE will be charged for this workshop from the participants.
Travel Allowance
No TA bill will be paid to any participants.
Boarding and Lodging
No boarding or lodging facility will be provided to any candidates.

* Participation stands cancelled if failed to provide confirmation signature within 12 Noon of October 17, 2016 is not received by the specified candidate. Seats, if so vacant, will be offered to other eligible applicant.
