March 4, 2017 - Residents - after driving through the community and walking around the neighborhood on the sidewalks, there has been a lot of trash, dog waste, and other materials strewn about our community. As the weather continues to stay warm, and we are moving towards spring lets all make a concerted effort to secure our trash on garbage collection night, and clean up after our animal friends. Some of us will be walking the sidewalks as the weather warms up, our children will be once again playing outside and no one wants to see garbage all over the place. We are all in charge of this ourselves. Lets have pride in our community and continue to make it a nice, clean place to live.
February 20, 2017 - Residents please secure your vehicles at night, vehicles were entered in the area of Mahaffey Hill last evening. Please report any suspicious activity to the NHTPD.
December 29, 2016 - The walking trail areas have been explored and there is great potential to add these to our community. Plans are under discussion to start clearing the trails and make them accessible from both the community park and from the end of Wisperwood Court. We are hoping to continue to clear trails throughout the winter.
December 27, 2016 - Residents, the MREHOA now has its own mailing address with the community. You may have noticed the additional mailbox located near the entrance to the community park. This mailing address will be active soon and will be used for all contact information for the MREHOA. The box will serve two purposes, first it will be a mailbox for all HOA bills and mailings. Secondly, it will serve as a comment box for community members. It is a locking mailbox so any information left there will be secure until an HOA board member retrieves the mail. The mailing address for the MREHOA will be as follows: 629 Forest Oak Trail. We are in the process of getting all billing addresses changed to this location as well. Stay tuned for further updates!!
Residents - please be advised West Penn Power will be completing some work on the first street light near the entrance sign. A work order has been placed to have the intermittent working light checked out and repaired. Work should be completed soon - weather permitting.
Also, a community mailbox has been ordered/purchased for the MREHOA. When the mailbox has been installed and the address for the HOA has been activated, all community bills, mail, and invoices will be sent directly to this mailbox. It also is a lockbox for security purposes. We hope this will simplify communication within our community with the board.
*** Mountain Ridge Residents - JP Operations will be completing a landscaping project for a resident on Wisperwood Court. They will be staging materials this week in the common area, as well as working from the common area to access this project. Any areas of the common area that are damaged will be returned to normal and replanted/reseeded when the work is finished. Everything thing will be completed within the next two weeks weather permitting. ***
Halloween News - just a reminder that Halloween will be here before you know it. NHT Trick-or-Treating is scheduled for 6-8 PM on October 31. So be sure to get your candy and goodies ready for our little ghosts and goblins. Also, there will be a bonfire in the community park starting around 5 PM (weather permitting). There also will be hot dogs, snacks, and s'mores available!!!
New fire pit in the community park! No more cinder blocks!!
A new stone fire pit has been purchased from Earth Elements in North Huntingdon and it is in the process of being installed at the same location as the old fire ring in the park. The MREHOA Board would like to thank Earth Elements for their help and efforts. We hope to be using it very soon!
Residents please be reminded that there is NO on street parking. However, if you are having a gathering or event at your house, parking is permitted on the streets. However, please remind your guests not to park in the grass ditches by the side walks. There is also ample parking also available at the community park.
If you haven't noticed the entrance area has been cleaned up, fresh mulch has been added and the lights are working again to illuminate the entrance sign!
Look to this page for minutes from our meetings, and other important documents the community needs to be aware of.
