The LMbot was a web controlled device i built to roam my old work office.
It was a collection of Microchip PIC microcontrollers connected by an i2c bus that was controlled by a wireless serial link to a webserver running on my desktop PC.
Video was broadcasted back to a video in card on the PC by a video sender module.
There was an LCD display on the front of the bot so the remote user could type (usually insulting) messages to people it encountered along the way.
It worked quite well but the delay between issuing a command, the bot moving and the image from the webcam appearing on the remote user's web browser made it too time consuming to use as an effective communications device.
This is something i am addressing with my latest bot.
