About Me

Hi there!  My name is Tyler Binkley.  I've spent the first 12 years of my career teaching 7th grade math at Palmyra Area School District.  From there, I moved into a STEM teaching role for about 2 years.  This is my first year at Milton Hershey Middle Division, at Catherine hall.  I'm super excited to be teaching 7th grade Applied Math! Go Spartans! 

I am originally from Palmyra, PA and graduated from Palmyra Area School District in 2005.   After Palmyra, I went on to receive my Bachelor's Degree in elementary education and mid-level mathematics from Millersville University. 

After Millersville, I received my first teaching position teaching 6th grade math at Palmyra Area Middle School for two years.  For the next 10 years, I moved up to teach 7th grade mathematics.  In both instances, I replaced teacher's retiring who were my math teacher when I was in middle school!   I loved my time teaching math at Palmyra and am very fortunate to have a lot of amazing memories. In the summer of 2012 I earned my Master's Degree from Penn State University in Teaching and Curriculum, and in December 2020, I earned my Master's Degree from Wilkes University's Instructional Technology Specialist program.

On top of teaching, I also coached the PAMS Boys JV Basketball team (2009-2023), and PAMS Girls JV Soccer team (2014-2023).

I currently reside in Palmyra with my wife, Bre, and our three cats. I love teaching and hope that is quite evident to my students and colleagues alike. I am a big sports fan (Penn State, Eagles, Phillies, Caps) and love to play in soccer, basketball, and softball adult leagues.  But my favorite activities are spending time with my family and friends.
