Missing a class is just plain rude

If you miss a biology class you are not only harming yourself but you are also harming your colleagues and teacher.

The students will lose a valuable time if the teacher repeats a lesson.

and the teacher will also lose  a valuable time if he repeats a lesson to you at his own time
