The Mountain View Police Department is responsible for serving all civil processes within the City of Mountain View as directed by the court system. Civil process papers include, but are not limited to, subpoenas, notices, orders, complaints, and summonses for both Civil and Criminal cases.
Written warnings are issued for a violation of a city code or state statute. Citizens are strongly encouraged to correct the deficiency enabling their avoidance of any further measures of judicial enforcement of the violation. The purpose of the written warning is to identify the violation to the violator in writing. No further action other than correcting the deficiency is required by the violator. Written warnings are issued by the Mountain View Police Department and archived with the Police Department.
