The primary focus of my research lies in the areas of algebraic geometry, computational algebraic geometry, tropical geometry, complex analysis, and combinatorics. My own investigations, together with some discussions with other mathematicians working in related fields, have generated a number of interesting questions which relate techniques from toric geometry, complex analysis, combinatorics, algebraic topology, and other topics to new results in algebraic and tropical geometry, mirror symmetry and topology. Such questions will guide my research for the next few years.
I wrote a number of surveys and articles on this research area. The article Geometric and Combinatorial Structure of Hypersurface Coamoebas is accessible to any graduate math student with some background in tropical algebraic geometry.
