TECHNOLOGIES USED IN eduMOOC
WEEKLY LIVE PRESENTATIONS
WEBSITE
Google Sites - https://sites.google.com/
Google Sites is the easiest way to make information accessible to people who need quick, up-to-date access. People can work together on a Site to add file attachments, information from other Google applications (like Google Docs, Google Calendar, YouTube and Picasa), and new free-form content. Creating a site together is as easy as editing a document, and you always control who has access, whether it's just yourself, your team, or your whole organization. You can even publish Sites to the world. The Google Sites web application is accessible from any internet connected computer. (This presentation website is an example.)
ASYNCHRONOUS DISCUSSIONS
Google Groups: https://groups.google.com/
Google Groups is all about helping users connect with people, access information, and communicate effectively over email and on the web.
Wikispaces: http://www.wikispaces.com/
Wikispaces is built to work anywhere, anytime. All you need is a web browser and an Internet connection. Members can create pages and spaces without undue restrictions or rules. Guests can edit pages without creating an account. Wiki pages are fully internationalized, so you can contribute content in any language you like. We take care of hosting, backups, and upgrades so you don't have to.
TWITTER FEED FOR LIVE PRESENTATIONS
Twitterfall: http://twitterfall.com/
This was the "tweet aggregator" used in live presentations. Individual hastags were assigned each week (e.g. #edumooc1, #edumooc2, etc.). We monitored questions posted to the twitter feed and shared them with the presenters.
