Luminescent is a free google sites template now available for you to use when you create a new google site. Check out the preview site here. The background and header images were created using this template found at psdlearning.com. A great reasource for tutorials.

A transparent title sits atop a transparent header which in turn sits atop the background giving a unique effect when the window is resized. So you can change the title to a transparent png using your own business name without affecting the integrity of the header too much.
