There are ample opportunities onsite to view wildlife. Local day trips of near by areas can be guided or self-guided.

Nearby sites of interest include Charette Lake (BLM), McCallister Lakes (NWR), Maxwell Lakes (NWR), Ten-High Area (elk viewing), SR 120 East (antelope, elk, and burrowing owl viewing), and SR 442 South (antelope and elk viewing--occasionally burrowing owl & long-billed curlew).
