Detailed information about how to get to the University campus including a detailed map of the Whiteknights site can be found at: http://www.reading.ac.uk/find-us
Travelling by car and parking
We recommend you use the Shinfield Road entrance to the University (see link to Whiteknights map above) and follow event signs to car park 2. Once parked, guests are invited to make their way to the Henley Business School. The route will be signposted.
Public transport
The University is served by excellent public transport links. Bus and train information is given on the University website, see the link above. The mainline train station is served by a direct link bus service to the campus. The number 20 and 21 bus routes travels through the Whiteknights campus; guests are advised to alight at the Whiteknights House bus stop. Guests can then follow event signs to the Henley Business School.
MMF support for UK travel costs
There is limited funding via the MMF for travel costs of UK-based faculty and PhD students attending the workshop. It is intended for the UK-based speakers as well as for PhD students who would not have transport cover from other scholarships or grants. Claim forms in pdf can be downloaded from the webpages of the MMF, but will also be available printed on paper on the day of the workshop in the foyer of the Henley Business School. See also MMF Travel Refunds Policy on their website when preparing and submitting the form to the MMF.
British Academy support for overseas travel and accommodation of invited speakers
The overseas and UK travel, accommodation and related costs of the invited speakers will be reimbursed by the British Academy Small Research Grant via completing and submitting a University of Reading expense form. The form can be downloaded in pdf or xls (Excel) format, but will also be available printed on paper on the day of the workshop in the foyer of the Henley Business School. Please attach original receipts for the claimed expenses and submit the form by mail to:
