Becoming a High School Synchronized Swim Official is an exciting way to stay involved with the sport! To make sure you’re ready for the Spring 2026 season, please follow these three essential steps.

March 2: MNSSOA Registration & Payment Due.
March 3: Start of the Season.
March 11: MSHSL Arbiter Registration, Rules Meeting, and Exam Due.
🏊 Step 1: Register with the MNSSOA - Deadline: Monday, March 2, 2026 (LATEST by March 3)
First, you must register with the Minnesota Synchro Swim Officials Association (MNSSOA). This ensures you receive all communications, scheduling resources, and access to mentorship.

Payment Method: Send your annual fee via PayPal to MNSynchroOfficials@gmail.com.
2026 Registration Fees
Coaching Officials - $11.00
Non-Coaching Officials - $25.00
Coaches (for regular season scheduling) - $15.00
💻 Step 2: Register with the MSHSL via ArbiterSports - Deadline: Wednesday, March 11, 2026
You must also register with the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). Register by February 1 each year to avoid late fees!

Important Note: Ensure you select the "2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR".

📝 Step 3: Complete Rules Training & Exam - Deadline: March 11, 2026
Once registered, you must prove your knowledge of the current rules. These requirements become available starting Monday, February 23.
Rules Interpretation Meeting: Complete the online session via Arbiter.
Rules Exam: Take the online test and achieve a passing score of at least 80%.
