So you'd like to be a High School Synchronized Swim Official? Great!
Here's what you should do first! and second...and third...
STEP 1: Register with the MN Synchro Swim Officials Association (MNSSOA)
Register with the Officials Association. Spring 2025 registration deadline - Monday, March 3, 2025. Please complete this annual registration to assure we have your most recent contact information. This also assures that you are receiving all our communications and have access to resources for scheduling, judging, and new official mentorship. Please register with the Officials Association by March 3, the start of the season, at the LATEST.
Once you register, complete your annual payment via PayPal to the following account: MNSynchroOfficials@gmail.com - OA Registration fees for 2025 are $11.00 for Coaching Officials & $25.00 for Non-Coaching Officials, and $15.00 for Coaches who wish to be scheduled by the OA for regular season meets.
STEP 2: Register with the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) via ArbiterSports.
Register with the MSHSL by signing into Arbiter here. Spring 2025 registration deadline - Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
(Register by February 1 with no late fee.) Note - Mac users, use Firefox or Safari, instead of Chrome. Make sure you scroll down to register for "2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR". If you are new to officiating, you can use this link to initiate registration. STEP 3: Complete the online Rules Interpretation meeting and take the online Rules Exam by March 12, 2025.
Sign in to Arbiter to complete the Rules Interpretation Meeting and score 80% on the online Rules Exam.
Rules Meeting and Exam will be available starting Monday, February 24.
