Writing Workshop

This sectional will provide the basics for implementing a writing workshop into your classroom instruction (including ideas for conferencing and assessment). New research on writing and ideas from famous children's literature authors will also be shared.

Jonathan Roux, professor of education at MLC since 2008, currently teaches Children’s Literature, Teaching Language Arts, and Teaching Reading in addition to graduate-level courses and workshops. In August of 2022, he received his Ph.D. in Literacy Education from the University of MN-Twin Cities. He serves on the Executive Board for the Southwest Minnesota Reading Council and is a member of the Minnesota Reading Council, and the Higher Education Literacy Partnership of Minnesota (H.E.L.P.).
