What makes a middle school a middle school? Why should students in grades 6-8 be treated any differently than students in grades PK-5 or 9-12? The middle school mindset begins with the idea that these students are a unique and varied group of people with very specific needs in the educational setting. This sectional will present information found through experience at St Croix as well build upon the work of the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE).
