Introduction to Hymns for Life

Hymns for Life is a new curriculum whose purpose is to help teachers cultivate in their students a deep appreciation for Christian hymnody. The curriculum is thought-provoking and full of engaging and enjoyable activities for all ages. At the heart of the curriculum is Christ and his love for us and communicated so powerfully through texts and tunes.

Kevin Bode is now a half-time teacher and half-time music director at Emmanuel Lutheran Church and School in Tempe, AZ. For the last seven years, he very much enjoyed his time on the hymns committee for the new hymnal. Simultaneously, he also directed a hymns curriculum project called Hymns for Life.
