“The Lord Is My Light” - Equipped By The Source - Religious Keynote

The school year- both for those new to ministry as well as the veteran educator- is filled with ups and downs, blessings and challenges. After the newness of the school year wears off and routine sets in, frustration with students, parents, faculty, and even self can become a dangerous reality which threatens joy both in and out of the classroom. We gather around our God’s Word, then, with a timeless reminder from King David that “The Lord is My Light”- discussing both what that means about our God, and what it means for our ministries.

Pastor John Boggs serves as pastor at Divine Savior in West Palm Beach, FL. He has also served as a home missionary in Mobile, AL, and at three Lutheran High Schools (LPS, MLS, WLA). He serves as the chairman of the WELS Commission on Discipleship, as a member of the WELS International Youth Rally Planning Cmte, and as circuit pastor of the Gold Coast Circuit. John is married to Julia (nee Braun) and they are blessed with four children: Allison & Jenna (Senior, freshman at MLC), Ryan (Junior at LPS), and Micah (7th grade).
