Chapter Books for the Middle and Upper Grades (4-8)

This sectional will offer new chapter book suggestions for your middle and upper grade students. While not every chapter book makes a good whole-class read, come and find titles that you can suggest for your individual readers as well. We will also discuss the importance of reader interest surveys and independent reading time.

About the presenter - Jon Roux teaches in the Education Division at Martin Luther College (MLC). Currently he is teaching courses in the Language Arts block: Children's Literature, Teaching Language Arts, and a section of Teaching Reading.
