This licensure presentation satisfies the requirement of MN Statute, section 122A.06, subdivision 4. Renewal of professional teaching licenses that expire on June 30, 2005, and after, require that applicants must include in their 125 clock hours, professional development activities that address further preparation in understanding the key warning signs of early-onset mental illness in children and adolescents which may include depressed mood, excessive fears and anxieties, changes in behavior and performance, failure to develop peer relationships, impaired concentration and thinking, suicidal gestures, and knowledge of next steps.
About the presenter, Dr. Robert F. Klindworth - Dr. Klindworth has taught and administered at the elementary, middle school, high school, and college levels. He has served at Martin Luther College (MLC) for 12 years. He currently teaches Psychology and Education courses at the under graduate level and teaches Instructional Supervision and School Law in the MLC Master's program.
