Email:

I received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2007. I obtained the M.Sc. degree and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering (communication theory and systems) both from University of California San Diego (UCSD) in 2009 and 2013, respectively. After that I joined Qualcomm Technologies Inc., San Diego, CA, as a senior R&D systems engineer where I worked on the design, analysis, prototyping, and development of LTE-U (LTE advanced in unlicensed spectrum). In my last three years at Qualcomm, I was a staff engineer at Qualcomm AI Research working on deep learning and reinforcement learning with focus on autonomous driving. I am currently a senior machine learning scientist at Amazon Media & Entertainment organization and a tech lead of personalization and recommender systems for AMP, a new platform to create or listen to live radio shows.
