We are racing into the end of the school year in these final few weeks. Enjoy every minute you can. Time goes by quickly in high school. We are celebrating the Sapphire Sound this week with our Color Guard Showcase on Tuesday, Recital on Wednesday, Spring Concert on Thursday, Awards Night on Friday, and a fun day on Saturday. It will be a memorable week!

Thank you to all who attended the Parent & Student meeting last Thursday. We put a lot into this program and it was nice to share all of the BIG news with you. Did you hear? The Sapphire Sound will be traveling to Hawaii in December to participate in the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade! Your deposit of $200 is due May 31. Drop the payment by school (checks made payable to: MMIMB) or pay online on the band website. Please click HERE to view all of the information from the Parent & Student Meeting.

Thank you to the MMIMB Board for all of their planning and dedication this school year! You have made a difference to each student and adult in our program.

I am officially welcoming many people to our weekly newsletter. We will continue to add people to this weekly communication over the next several weeks. If you know of incoming students and families to the Sapphire Sound, please let them know they can email me at:, so I can add them to the groupvine emails. I hope you will find this to be one of the most rewarding experiences you can have by being a part of the Sapphire Sound.

Please take a look at the summer dates coming up for June, July, and August. I look forward to what comes next, but first we will celebrate all that is special about the school year we are ending.

I hope to see you this week!

All In, Always.
