LOOKING AHEAD:
CARPOOLS NEEDED FOR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28 TO DRIVE TO MT. CARMEL HIGH SCHOOL: Attached is a form to fill out to fill out and return if you can help drive our students. WE MUST HAVE THE ATTACHED INSURANCE FORM AND VERIFICATION OF INSURANCE BEFORE YOU CAN DRIVE A CARPOOL.  This is necessary for our insurance.  If we do not have a form on file, you will not be able to carpool students. You can bring proof of insurance to the tournament parent meeting (October 19th). Please fill out the form or return proof and form to Mrs C. We will need drivers for Parade Band at approximately 10:30 am. The remainder of the students will need to be transported to Mt. Carmel HS at approximately 4:00 pm. At the end of the evening we will need parents to carpool ALL of the students back to Mira Mesa at approximately 10:30 pm. If you think you might be available, please be sure we have your insurance form on file and email Monica, the Band Vice President at: vicepresident@mmimb.com. Let her know how many students you are able to transport.
Why carpool? We save THOUSANDS of dollars by carpooling to a close school instead of riding on district school buses. You do not have to stay for the day. You may drop off students and pick up kids at the end of the night.
Fundraising:
  • The Cookie dough fund raiser ends WEDNESDAY October 18.  Please turn in forms and payment by the end of the day.
  • Restaurant Fundraiser this Thursday is at the Panda Express off of Mira Mesa Blvd. This is a great way to help the program. Bring the attached  flier
  • The Bamboo Sock representative will be selling socks outside of the Theater before Thursday's Parent meeting. These socks are great for marching season (or any time). Many students wore them for the long Rose Parade. A portion of each purchase goes back to the program.
Our Families are ALL IN:
For those who were able to volunteer on Saturday at our first field competiton...a big THANK YOU! From cooking and feeding, to "watering" the kids, to loading and unloading, setting up and tearing down props, uniforms and instruments...it takes a team of volunteers and we are grateful that you are a part of the group.
Saturday's Pictures:
We were able to take our group picture on Saturday. Unfortunately due to time constraints, the photographer was not abe to get individual and buddy pictures. We are working with the photographer to make sure refunds are made for those that have ordered individual or buddy pictures. Additionally we are working up options for other individual pictures. Stay tuned.
