Presented my research at ASCE International Conference on Computing in Civil Engineering 2023 - Enhanced Model Tree Algorithm for Civil Engineering Applications
This research focuses on addressing the limitations of traditional error analysis in machine learning models used in civil engineering applications.
Specifically, a novel framework has been proposed that incorporates error propagation theory and the model tree algorithm to estimate and explain the variance associated with the predicted output for a given set of inputs. This approach enhances the interpretability and reliability of the model, providing valuable insights for decision-making in engineering.

Presented my research at CSCE Annual Virtual Conference 2021 - How to Plan for School Projects ?
Due to limited resources and budget constraints, government agencies are compelled to prioritize the most critical needs in order to allocate funding effectively. This paper presents a comprehensive framework that aims to enhance the prioritization process for school infrastructure projects, taking into account the specific requirements of such projects.

Guest lecture @CIV E 607 - Productivity Modeling and Analysis class of University of Alberta
The lecture explains the safety planning aspect of construction project management and demonstrates how to separate safety costs from construction costs in general. It also introduces the "Tunneling Safe" website to the student, which is developed to provide a training package and disseminate good practices and practical knowledge based on BS 6164-2011.

Presented my research in Winter Simulation Conference 2020 - How to account planner's gut feeling in panning construction operation?
Planning infrastructure maintenance operation is always a challenge due to various reasons. In our recent research paper I talked about, how we can make the plan efficient and automatic.
Please see the video of my latest presentation about: How to account planner's gut feeling in panning construction operation? in Winter simulation conference 2020.

When government and other corporate agencies invest in any megaproject, are they just think about the project, or maybe it is something more than that?
While investigating the viability of a mega project like "investing in solar energy or geothermal energy," the project objective actually goes beyond the project itself. Planning authority needs to consider so many aspects of the project to ensure its sustainability. In the following slide, I present one of such initiatives. The slides are self-explanatory. I hope you will enjoy it.
These slides were presented to the Class of APS510: Innovative Technologies and Organizations in Global Energy System. This course is offered by University of Toronto, Center for Global Engineering.

Do you like to know: how we can effectively use computer vision to asses the construction activities? A paper by Luo et al (2018) presents a very good technique.
I had the chance to review the paper titled “Convolutional neural networks: computer vision-based workforce activity assessment in construction” - by Luo et al. (2018).
I did it as part of a course project. But I feel it is one of the good papers in this field and worthy to share among pears. Following slides have some insights about the problem and technique proposed.
November 2020
Presented my PhD research on Canadian Precast Concrete Institute's (CPCI) Annual General Meeting.
The research title is "Simulation-Enabled Intelligent Decision Support Framework for Planning Precast Concrete Production Operations."
Following are the presentation slides. I hope you will get sufficient insights regarding the planning problem that I am trying to solve by seeing the presentation slides. In case if you would like to know more, please feel free to send me an email.
