Lisa Reiner

Head of School, Toddler Guide

Lisa received her B.A. in Liberal Arts: English and Psychology from Notre Dame of Maryland University. She received her AMS Montessori Certification in Primary (3-6) from AERCO and her Infant/Toddler (0-3) from NAMC. Lisa started in Montessori in 1994 and co-founded Montessori Manor in 2002. She and her husband, Jon, keep busy with their two dogs and four children, Maya, Ella, Bria, and Eric. Lisa loves every opportunity to have fun with the family and appreciates the fleeting years of having her college-age kids at home.

Sonia Sabarikanth

Director of Curriculum & Admissions, Primary 1 Co-Guide

Sonia received her B.A. in Political Science from University of Delhi. She and her husband Sabari migrated to the United States from India in 2001. Sonia received her AMI Montessori Certification (3-6) from California in 2002. Sonia has been associated with Montessori Manor in some capacity for the past 18 years. Sonia and Sabari have two boys – Rohan is a College Junior and Rohit is a College Freshman, and both of them are Montessori Manor alumni. Sonia loves to cook, read and spend time with her family and their dog Indy. As their children are growing up and are busy on their own, Sonia has recently started to experiment with watercolors and sewing.

Rachael Brager

Primary 1 Co-Guide

Rachael received her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and Journalism from Towson University. She holds her AMS Montessori Certification in Primary (3-6) and her CGMS Montessori Certification in Elementary (6-12). Rachael is also a mother of three children, all of whom have Montessori backgrounds, giving her a personal appreciation for the Montessori philosophy both inside and outside of the classroom. Outside of Montessori, Rachael enjoys hiking and camping with her family and taking long walks with her dog, Royal. She loves spending time outdoors and making memories with her family.

Angela Khan

Primary 2 Guide

Angela received her B.A in Educational Studies in Special and Elementary Education from Western Governors University. In addition, she received her Montessori Certification in Primary (3-6) from NAMC. Angela and her husband, Sameer, are kept busy with their large family of six children, two grandchildren, and two dogs. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, exercising, and seeing as much live music as possible.

Patrick McLaughlin

Elementary Guide

Pat holds an A.A. in Serbian and Croatian from the Defense Language Institute, a B.A. in Integrative Studies (Social Sciences) from George Mason University, and a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College, Annapolis. He earned his AMI Elementary (6–12) Diploma from the Washington Montessori Institute and his M.Ed. in Montessori Elementary Education from Loyola University Maryland. After ten years of service in the United States Air Force, Pat transitioned into Montessori education in 2019 alongside his four children. Outside the classroom, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, visiting local parks, reading in pedagogy and faith, and exploring arts, crafts, and other skills.
