Our research focuses on discovering and understanding how metals can promote the cleavage and formation of strong chemical bonds thus enabling more efficient and sustainable chemical syntheses.

We are interested in organometallic chemistry, a discipline that lies at the interface of inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry. Daily activities include synthesizing new organic and inorganic molecules, characterizing them using a range of techniques including NMR, IR, UV-vis, GC/GC-MS, quantum chemical calculations, cyclic voltammetry, and X-Ray crystallography, and investigating the mechanisms by which the complexes react.
