Ceremonies, Skits, and Songs

Ceremonies, Skits, and Songs play a huge role in Cub Scouts. Scouts work hard and deserve to be recognized for their efforts. However, they are still kids and they want to have fun. Pack 374 has compiled a guide to help leaders when looking for a ceremony, skit, or song.

Camping

Camping is an important part of Scouting. In Cub Scouts, our campouts include the entire family. We encourage all family members to join us. We also know that camping is new for many of our families. Click here to view our recommended packing list for campouts.

Additionally, to comply with the Boy Scouts of America Guidelines, the following rules have been established for our Pack.

1. No one is allowed in a tent other than their own tent
2. Youth are only allowed to share a tent with an adult that is either their parent or legal guardian. Alternately, they can share a tent with other youth.
3. Male and Female adults can only share a tent if they are legally married
4. All Scouts must follow the buddy system at all times. This includes never leaving our campsite without a buddy and never leaving without notifying their parent/guardian.
5. No pets are allowed
6. No Alcohol is allowed
7. All tobacco use must be done out of view of the youth in designated areas.
8. Closed toed shoes are required. (No flip flops, sandals or crocks)
9. There is no running around tents or cooking areas
10. Parents are responsible for their youth at all times
11. Lights out times are set by the Camp Director(s) (Outdoor Chair/Cubmaster/Committee Chair)
12. Camp Director(s) will have their tents designated with a blue reflective marker. They will also be identified by name prior to the campout. Any emergency must be reported to them as soon as possible.
13. Every adult is a leader, if you see unsafe behavior speak up! Even if you do not know the person(s) involved.
