Congratulations to Atlanta Marathi Shala -- Accreditation Status

Dear Friends,
I would like to share a momentous achievement by Atlanta Marathi Shala in getting recognition for Marathi Shala education in North America.
They follow the exact same syllabus as us and are under the BMM Marathi Shala project like us.
This will certainly help us to plan a similar initiative in MD & VA. We can use this as an example and work with local school districts to implement this idea.
I will be forming an exploratory team. Do let me know if you would like to be part of it.

Dear Friends,
Please join me in congratulating the Atlanta Mandal Shala Team, BMM Shala team, Atlanta Mandal past and current leadership for getting Accrediation status to BMM Shala.
The immense gravity of this accomplishment cannot be understated. In gaining this recognization, the Atlanta Mandal Shala has provided the second generation Marathi students an incentive outside of the parents emotional need-- now there will be an opportunity for the students of the Marathi Shalas to get an academic credit (Independent language study, Foreign language etc.) which was not there before.
There was lot of hardwork that went to accomplish this, the paperwork, audits, meeting with officers etc. but the Atlanta team have paved the way for other mandals schools to get this recognization. This is just a first step, but very critical and important step. BMM Shala team is also working on to add "Marathi" with "America Council on the Teaching Foreign Langugages", this will help to get recognization for Marathi Shala teachers across USA. Lot of work needs to done from everyone of us to get due recognization for Marathi Bhasha in North America, but we are on the right path and we will get there with everyone's support. I am sure this will be discussed in Next Shala conference also.

We have received Certificate from Georgia Accreditation Commission based on their Audit.
