Subject: [BMM_Marathi_Shala] BMM Marathi Shala - Calendar 2016 Project
Namaskar!
BMM Shala is pleased to launch a Digital* Calendar project for BMM Shala students. The scope of the project is to design a 2016 calendar using pictures drawn by Marathi Shala Students based on the themes given below.
The calendar will represent major Indian and North American days and events.
Guideline and Specifications
This project is open to all students of BMM Marathi Shala across North America.
Though this is not a BMM competition, local Centers will judge the artwork and send four (4) pictures per school **
It is recommended that local schools nominate a volunteer, who is not affiliated with the school, to judge the pictures. (Not a teacher or a parent)
The entries should be judged based on originality, craftsmanship, variety, composition and difficulty level etc.(See the attached Rubric )
The acceptable format for submission of the pictures is scanned .jpg with resolution no less than 768x1024
Final submissions should be sent to the Calendar Team no later than November 22, 2015
The calendar will be published in time for New Year. It will be made available via BMM website

* digital – since the pictures will be scanned and sent to BMM we are calling this as a digital project, using a computer software to create an artwork/drawing is not a acceptable format!
** what is a Center and what is a Shala? - for example – Detroit area runs 2 Centers (Canton & Troy) under MMD umbrella, so MMD Shala will send total 4 pictures selected from these 2 Centers.
