The MJC Art Gallery is an educational resource of the MJC Art Department, serving the Modesto and surrounding communities by showcasing a diverse selection of art exhibitions. The Art Gallery is committed to celebrating art and culture by featuring students’ artistic accomplishments, faculty’s ongoing creative research, as well as solo and group exhibitions by artists working in the state of California and beyond. 

The goal of the MJC Art Gallery is to increase awareness and to educate our community on issues involving visual art by providing exposure to both traditional and contemporary art. A vital component of the academic and cultural life of the Central Valley, the MJC Art Gallery aspires to engage broad and diverse audiences, to provide a place for contemplation, to create a dialogue about art in its many forms, and to promote a sense of community.

The MJC Art Gallery is operated entirely through the voluntary efforts of the MJC Visual Arts Club under the direction of The Gallery Director,  Chelsea Gilmore.
