Motorcycle Rear Suspension
This study was done to look at the difference between rear suspension types. The types are:
4 bar Honda style linkage (Honda CBR)
Ducati 4 bar pivot under the seat (Ducati Hypermotard, older Monster 900)
Ducati crank-slider style (Ducati 696 and Supersport)
The models and assemblies were done in ProEngineer.
They were then run through the same amount of wheel travel inside ProMechanism, and the the ratio of wheel travel to shock travel was recorded and graphed in Excel.

The ratio changes more with wheel travel on the 4 bars, but not as much on the slider crank:
