Bio: Mitradip Bhattacharjee (Senior Member, IEEE) is an Assistant Professor with the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal, India, where he is leading the i-Lab Research Group. He obtained B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala and the Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India. Subsequently, he joined the University of Glasgow, U.K., as a Postdoctoral Fellow. His research interests include electronic sensors and systems, biomedical engineering, bioelectronics, flexible/printed and wearable electronics, wireless systems, IoT, micro/nanoelectronics, and reconfigurable sensing antenna. He has authored more than 55 research articles in reputed journals/conferences and filed more than 15 national/international patents. He also has authored several book chapters/books to date. He is the recipient of several awards such as Marie-Curie Seal of Excellence Award by the European Commission in 2019, Nanochallange Award by PSG in 2018, Gandhiyan Young Technological Innovation Award at Rashtrapati Bhavan in 2016 among others. He served as the chair of IEEE sensors council young professionals in 2022.

Research Interest in Brief: He is presently working on different types of electronic sensors and systems, flexible and wearable electronics, electronic devices, micro/nanofabrication, bioelectronics, biosensors, biomedical engineering, reconfigurable sensing antenna tags, and healthcare devices. He is also working on microfluidic sensors, devices, and digital microfluidics.  Moreover, he is also developing non-conventional energy harvesting devices which could be the solution to the future energy crisis. His research mainly focuses on spintronics, flexible and printed electronics, photovoltaics/photoconductors, MEMS/NEMS, biomedical devices and bioelectronics, wireless sensing system, reconfigurable antenna,  and computational studies in the mentioned fields.
