In our post-COVID-19 era of teaching, it is necessary to be flexible enough to be able to deliver comprehensible content for students via a variety of online means. I have been lucky to have prior experience using a wide variety of resources and websites to do just that. Here is a snapshot of some of the classes i pre-made for delivery. Live classes through Google Hangouts, Zoom and other Skype are not able to be included here for privacy reasons.
Nearpod Examples:
Tour of Orchard Park and Review of "To Be"
(n.b. there were more but unfortunately I was capped at only keeping 4 lessons total by the website)
Other websites and software I used during this time to develop interesting and interactive classes:
Padlet - this one is a goodbye board from my students to me as the 2020 school year was cut short
Screencastify - Used to record slideshows or websites in action (you can see above)
ABCYA - often accompanied by listening instructions for students to follow and then screenshot results of games
iMovie to edit all videos for the students
Kahoot - Here's one on Possessive Pronouns in Primary School, One to review Modal verbs in ESO, and a fun Christmas quiz for both general knowledge and listening skills
Quizlet
NewsELA - a resource to find interesting and relevant texts which are appropriately leveled.
Many phonics websites including Starfall and Reading Rockets
Google Hang Outs and Zoom
Tour of Buffalo using Google Maps
My Hometown Tour designed for ESO students
