Parking for MIRSA Attendees will be FREE at the following locations.

• Courtyard Mt. Pleasant at Central Michigan University (For Marriott Guests)

  • • Address: 2400 East Campus Drive, Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48858

• Lot 62W 

  • People commuting to and from MIRSA daily should park in this lot located right outside of the Student Activty Center (SAC)

Pre-conference Events

Kick off the workshop with one of our pre-conference activities on Thursday, October 8. Join fellow recreation professionals and students for a morning of fun, connection, and giving back. Whether you’re looking to compete on the pickleball court, hit the links, or make a difference in the CMU community, we’d love to have you join us!

Choose from the following activities: 

• Pickleball Doubles Tournament - 9:00–11:00 AM

  • CMU Student Activity Center (SAC)

  • Cost - FREE

• Golf - 9:00–11:30 AM

  • Riverwood Resort Golf Course, 1313 E Broomfield Rd, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858

  • Cost - $35 (9 holes w/ cart)

• Volunteer at the CMU Food Pantry -10:00–11:30 AM

  • 1200 S Washington St Robinson Hall, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858

Silent auction

The annual MIRSA Silent Auction will take place at the MIRSA State Workshop social on Thursday, October 8 at Riverwood Resort. 

We welcome donations of items big or small that our attendees might enjoy, including gift cards, restaurant or coffee shop certificates, local experiences, recreation or fitness items, apparel or merchandise, event tickets, outdoor gear, gift baskets, or unique items from your campus or community. All proceeds from the auction help support MIRSA scholarships and future professional development opportunities for our members. 

If you or your department has an item you would be willing to donate, please contact Sarah Elgin at selgin@umich.edu by October 2. We are also planning to preview auction items with our membership before the workshop so attendees can see what will be available. Auction purchases can be made with cash, check, or PayPal (PayPal purchases will include a 4% service charge).
