Congrats to the Mira Boat Club who worked with my office to secure much needed funding for the replacement of their pump.
The Mira River is certainly a focal point within the constituency. The boat club is also an invaluable asset in our community, congrats!

ALBERT BRIDGE -- A boating club and community centre in Albert Bridge will soon receive a significant facility upgrade thanks to support from the Houston Government, Cape Breton East MLA Brian Comer said today.
Mira Boat Club & Seniors Community Centre was awarded $4,767 towards the replacement of its sewage pump-out system.
“I’m very pleased that we’re able to offer this kind of support to our local community hubs,” said MLA Comer. “Investments like this go a long way in helping keep our community facilities functional and in good repair now and into the future.”
Mira Boat Club & Seniors Community Centre is a non-profit organization that offers guests and members access to an array of social activities and boating services. It serves communities along the Mira River and surrounding areas.
This investment was made possible through the Community Recreation Capital Grant Program, an initiative that supports the development of small-scale recreation projects under $25,000.
