Box gardens are located on the north and south ends of the gardens. Some of these boxes are handicap accessible and others are not as easy to access.
Other garden plots are lettered A-I and numbered 1-23 (such as A-15). Starting on the south side by the entrance with row 1 and traveling down the road north for row 23. Lettered rows go from west to east starting with A on the west and going to I on the east side of the gardens. Numbers start at the first row of gardens on the south and traveling north to row 23.
Garden Plots are approximately 30' x 50' for a full plot and 25' x 30' for a half plot. Boxes range in sizes from 4' x 8', 4' x 12', 4' x 14' and 4' x 20'.
You may park on the east side of the road only. Please do not park or drive on the grass on the west side of the gardens due to water pipes very close to or laying on the top of the ground.
There is no set date to start planting gardens in the spring. The gate will not be opened until the road can handle the traffic. Gardeners are asked to respect the limits of their garden area. All plantings and vines must be kept in your garden. There are no restrictions as to what you can plant as long as it is a legal substance. Gardeners are encouraged to research plants that grow well in this climate.
There is no set person available to till your garden, but there are several gardeners who are willing to assist you with tilling for a fee, donation or just as a good neighbor. Check with those using tillers in their gardens. Caution with transporting tillers across the water lines.
Yes there are water lines running through all the garden plots with spigots available within a reasonable distance of any plot. Gardeners must provide their own hose and not borrow from others or use sprinklers/automatic timers. No unattended watering is allowed. Water must be contained to your own plot. For best results and less weeds, water should be directed only to the areas or directly to the plants. Water may not be available every day or all day. It is up to the board and times will be posted on Facebook or at the gardens. Always remember to turn the water off at the spigot and not just your hose because most hoses are not built to withstand the pressure in the lines. Gardeners who consistently leave their spigots on, are found to be over watering/wasting water/flooding garden will lose their garden.
Turn the water off at the entrance to the gardens and report the leak to a board member as soon as possible. It is important that the water be turned off so as not to flood the road or other gardens. The main valve is located just before entrance to the gardens. The green valve can be turned off.
There is no one assigned to assist gardeners, but most gardeners are willing to share their expertise. Be sure to research how to plant the specific plants you are choosing. Also the tabs that come with plants or the back of seed packets offer advice on how far apart to plant your seeds.
The garden association does not provide any tools. Each gardener must provide their own hoes, rakes, shovels, etc. Some gardeners may leave their tools in their plots. These are not for public use. People borrowing tools without permission will be asked to forfeit their garden plot.
You must keep the weeds from taking over your garden. A committee will check for weedy gardens regularly. Violators will be notified and allowed two weeks to correct the problem. Failure to correct the problem will result in loss of your deposit and your garden plot.

You are responsible for your actions and those of your guests or people helping in your garden plot.
