  • Synthesize model biomembranes including single leaflet monolayers, solid-supported lipid bilayers by either vesicle fusion (symmetric) or Langmuir Blodgett-Langmuir Schaefer deposition (asymmetric), small/large unilamellar vesicles, giant unilamellar vesicles, multilamellar lipid films

  • Surface imaging for floating films on the water with fluorescence microscopy and Brewster angle microscopy

  • Mapping the distribution of desired functional groups by FT-IR or Raman imaging

  • Atomic force microscopy for either dry or wet (in liquid) samples
