Our clean water is in danger now more than ever—and we need your voice.
EPA just released a revised plan that would eliminate or decrease the protections on more than 80% of the wetlands and ephemeral streams previously protected by the Clean Water Act. This means vital streams and wetlands could lose the protections they need to protect drinking water and human health, safeguard our communities from flooding and support a robust outdoor recreation economy.
We cannot let this happen.
The good news: we still have the opportunity to make our voices heard. A 45-day public comment period is now open, and it’s our time to speak up. But this could be our last chance—the rule is set to be finalized at the beginning of 2026. Let’s make sure Administrator Lee Zeldin hears us loud and clear: Protect our clean water. Don’t continue to weaken the Clean Water Act. Rolling back these protections—especially when EPA funding and staffing are already stretched thin—puts wildlife, drinking water and entire communities at risk.
Clean water is essential to our health, our environment and our economy. That’s why we’re counting on supporters like you to take action today.
Hearing your unique story counts the most. Please submit your personalized comment now and tell EPA to protect our water—not polluters. Adding details about your community and your values amplifies your voice. This is an imperative piece of our advocacy. Our future depends on it.
There’s not much time. The deadline is January 5, 2026. So until then, let’s flood EPA with messages in support of clean water. Feel free to share this Action Alert with your friends and family. We must fight back with as many voices as possible.
Thank you for standing with us.
