About Troop 87

"Developing Future Leaders"

Millburn Troop 87 is a dynamic and active troop of approximately 12 boys located in the northern Illinois community of Lake Villa. Firmly rooted in the principles of scouting, Troop 87 is truly boy lead with the objective of "Developing Future Leaders".

Founded in 1995, over 40 of our scouts have achieved the rank of Eagle during that time. We are proud of all our scouts, past and present, regardless of the scout rank they may have achieved.

Enjoyment of the outdoors is the cornerstone of the scouting program and our troop plans at least one campout each month during the scouting year, September through June. Every summer, during the last week of June, Troop 87 travels to Camp MaKaJaWan in northern Wisconsin for a week of camping, fun, and achievement.

The scouts of Troop 87 reside in the surrounding communities of Lindenhurst, Round Lake, Antioch, and Lake Villa. If your son is a 2nd year Webelo, or has graduated 5th grade please come and visit us at one of our upcoming troop meetings.

Troop 87 meets at Millburn Congregational Church located at the corner of Grass Lake Road and Rt 45 in Lake Villa each Wednesday evening at 7pm.
