Sevtec Vanguard 26hp Hovercraft - SOLD

It was constructed to be very robust but still light. In the details below you can see my construction pictures and notes including some weights. Here are some highlights

    • 14' Sevtec Vanguard
    • Built with 1/2" CoreCell foam and 3/4" for the hull bottom
    • 3/8" foam top deck with step-in platform
    • Vinylester marine resin (stronger than polyester)
    • Marine coat paint (white)
    • Sevtec brake system on wheel
    • B&S 26hp V-twin (with tiny-tach, only about 5 hours)
    • Electric fuel pump
    • Custom 2-1 stainless exhaust with lightweight quiet motorcycle muffler
    • Stainless steel engine mounts
    • Powerfin adjustable pitch 3-blade prop
    • Multiwing 6 blade (in 9 blade hub) lift fan
    • Fiberglass duct for lift fan (from Amphibious Marine)
    • Lightweight AGM battery
    • Stainless steel bolts, shafts used where possible
    • Custom tapered (diverging) duct
    • Custom lightweight trailer with ability to load and unload by oneself (ala Barrys video)
    • Craft and trailer both have current registration in California
