Miguel Flores

Assistant Professor in Economics and Programme Director for Work Placements at the National College of Ireland.

My research lies at the intersection of economics and higher education, focusing on university-to-work transitions, work-integrated learning, and graduate outcomes. I am interested in understanding how higher education experiences shape graduates' labour market outcomes and how these outcomes differ across student groups.

A growing strand of my research examines inequalities in higher education and graduate outcomes, focusing on underrepresented students and students with disabilities. My work seeks to inform policies and practices that promote inclusive transitions from education to employment.

Prior to this work, my research examined market competition, consumer behaviour, and energy markets.
