Research Interests
The biomaterials developed for use in the body are designed to not adversely affect the body and eventually integrate with tissues to demonstrate biological functionality. Our research aims to elucidate the principles by which synthetic materials become compatible with the body and integrate to express functions. To achieve this, we modify materials and perform surface modifications, advancing studies using cell manipulation and genetic engineering. We are also engaged in metal 3D printing technologies, image analysis, and deep learning.
Research on the mechanisms of biocompatibility expression in synthetic materials
Study on material-binding peptides through molecular evolutionary engineering
Research on metabiomaterials using porous materials
Study on biocompatibility evaluation using machine learning
Research on redox reactions on titanium surfaces
