Please do not attend the event or any activities if you test positive with a transmissible illness, do not feel well, or suspect you are ill. We encourage you to take a COVID test before arriving. Masks are currently optional at all Midwest Scottish Weekend events and are always welcome. We strongly suggest masking and frequent hand washing (with soap) during the week prior to coming, particularly in crowds, and when traveling. If respiratory disease conditions warrant, this policy may change. Refunds will be offered for cancellations for medical reasons.
Many people are allergic or sensitive to scented products. Please avoid using cologne, perfume, or strongly scented products (e.g., after-shave, Febreze) for the benefit of those with allergies. You’re sweet enough as you are!
Our aim is to promote clarity and understanding for all of our dancers. Teachers will use their preferred terms (gendered, positional, etc.) in classes. For simplicity, traditional RSCDS terms will be used in print instructions for the dances. Attendees are encouraged to dance on either side of the sets.
Wayland Academy is a tobacco-free campus. No illegal drugs will be permitted on Wayland Academy's campus. Responsible use of alcohol by adults is allowed.
The taking and sharing of photos and videos during the weekend is encouraged, and some of these may appear on social media. If this is a concern for you, please be sure to alert the organizers.
