The Midwest Scottish Weekend (MSW) is sponsoring a Workshop prior to the annual Milwaukee Scottish Country Dancers Halloween Dance. Lara Friedman-Shedlov from Minneapolis is our workshop teacher. Her session will emphasize dance geography and reawakening your muscle memory for dancing. Walking will be encouraged as needed. Sogan (Gaelic for “joy”), a Madison-based SCD band (Dave Mullen & friends), will be providing live music for both the workshop and dance.

We are requiring attendees for both events to be fully vaccinated (2 weeks post last shot with proof) and to sign an online registration/waiver form, preferably before attending. The waiver includes rules for attending, including symptoms that might prevent you from attending.

Copies will be available on the day of the event. Masks which cover your nose and mouth are required. Please remember to bring your proof of vaccination.

Cost: $20 workshop, $20 dance. Payment by cash or check on day of event.

Costumes: We hope you will wear a costume to the Dance. They are fun but not required! Prizes will be awarded.

Schedule:

12:00 - 2:00pm Scottish Country Dance Workshop

2:00 - 2:30pm Break, change to costumes

2:30 - 5:00pm Hallowe’en Dance

5:00 - 5:15pm Break, set-up for dinner

5:15 - 6:30pm Potluck dinner

Since masks are not worn while eating there is an inherent risk in participating in the potluck. The potluck is optional and at the discretion of the participant.
