The mission of the Mid-Atlantic Tea Business Association (MATBA) is to advance the knowledge of tea through networking and educational opportunities for the entrepreneur within the tea business.
MATBA was founded in January, 2005 by: Nancy Reppert of Sweet Remembrances, Janet Young of Over the Teacup, and Susanna Reppert of The Rosemary House
Our intention is to promote an increased awareness of the many tea-related businesses in our region and to support fellow entrepreneurs rather than focusing on competition. We are tea professionals helping one another grow their business.

The Association encompasses Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC and West Virginia. Any business dealing in or related to the tea industry in this region is eligible to join as a member, and is encouraged to do so. We also welcome tea businesses located outside the region.
