2009-current- NASA Student Ambassador representing the University of Pennsylvania and the state of Pennsylvania. I work with Dr. Chris McKay (Space Sciences Division, NASA Ames Research Center) on using Proterozoic stromatolites as Precambrian analogs to possible Martian life.
Summer 2010- Student Researcher at NASA Ames Research Center, Mountain View, CA. I worked with Dr. Chris McKay and Dr. Bin Chen on the detection of organics in 1.7 billion year old calcium carbonate stromatolites using Raman spectroscopy.
Summer 2009- Intern at NASA Ames Research Center, Mountain View, CA. I worked with Dr. Brad Bebout on a project called GraviSat. I researched the biocompatibility of cyanobacteria and microalgae with nanosatellite hardware for its potential application on the International Space Station.

I worked with Dr. Meyya Meyyappan to develop a low-temperature, hydrothermal route to PZT nanowire production. I also worked on the development of CdTe and CdS thin films for solar cell applications and the production of aligned ZnO nanowires on a substrate.
Summer 2009 - Intern at NASA Ames Research Center, Mountain View, CA. I worked with Dr. Meyya Meyyappan in the Nanotechnology Branch. My project was to develop a method for an aqueous synthesis of ZnO nanowires.
Summer 2008 - Interned with Seattle, WA company Korry Electronics in the Optical Products Department. I looked at how light interacted with our plastics.
Spring 2008 - Researched with the Larry Dalton group at the University of Washington, on a project that was attempting to synthesize a photo-cleavable surfactant for applications in drug delivery.

Current – Team Lead of Imaging Systems and remote team member for Lunar Micro-Rover project, as well as the electrical and embedded programming member of Rose-Hulman’s international UAV project. I focus on controls and signal processing, especially with applications to UAVs and advanced robotic systems, but I enjoy any in-depth electrical project.
