Work experience

    • Main activities: analysis of forest areas with hyperspectral, multispectral, SAR and LIDAR data.

  • March 2015 - June 2015, and October 2015 - December 2015: Dept. of Plant Sciences, University of Cambridge (UK)

    • Position held: Post-Doc Researcher in the Forest Ecology and Conservation Group (Dr. David Coomes).

    • Main activities: LIDAR data processing over forest areas in Borneo.

  • September 2014 - December 2015: Research and Innovation Center, Fondazione Edmund Mach, San Michele all'Adige, TN (Italy).

    • Position held: Post-Doc Researcher.

    • Main activities: analysis of forest areas with hyperspectral and LIDAR data inside the projects IperspettralePAT, STEM and Trees4Future.

  • September 2011 - February 2013: Dept. of Ecology and Natural Resources Management, Norwegian University of Life Sciences (Norway).

    • Position held: Post-Doc Researcher in the framework of a Marie Curie COFOUND Post-Doc Outgoing project. Half of the project activity is carried out at the Fondazione Edmund Mach.

    • Main activities: analysis of forest areas with hyperspectral and LIDAR data.

    • Main activities: In the framework of the project CARBOITALY (funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research): estimation of forest attributes with remotely sensed LIDAR data.

    • PhD in Information and Communication Techgnologies.

    • Research in Remote Sensing and Pattern Recognition, in particular fusion of hyperspectral and LIDAR remote sensing data for the analysis of forest areas (the research grant is founded by the Edmund Mach Foundation). PDF of the thesis here.

    • Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering with a thesis on a novel and automatic system for the classification of EEG data.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering with a thesis on the analysis and classification of low resolution remote sensing images.
